Last Post
I can't believe that the first semester of sophomore year is over. It went by so fast! I'm really going to miss computer class. It was nice to have a class that I did not have homework in. Unfortunately, I have heard that there is a lot of homework in speech class. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this class and I hope that the other half of the sophomores taking it during the second semester enjoy it as much as I did. Having this blog and posting to it once a week was actually pretty fun. It was really interesting to get to read others' blogs as well. Well, I have to go finish my study guides. Good luck to everyone on their finals!

Winter
Winter is one of my favorite seasons. First of all, it includes Christmas, which is my favorite holiday. I also like winter because I love sledding, drinking hot chocolate, and bundling up. However, there are some aspects of winter that I do not particularly enjoy. I really do not like when it is really cold, but there is no snow. Also, I hate the ice. Being a new driver, driving on ice really scares me. Plus, I always slip and fall on ice. Overall, winter is a great season.

Newscast Project
Our latest project is to create an informational podcast. My group consists of myself, Sophie, and Madisen. We chose our topic to be the Day of the Dead. Since Madisen and Sophie take Spanish, they already knew a lot about the holiday. I, being a French student, did not. By doing this podcast, I learned a lot about the Day of the Dead and, also, about how to do a podcast. We are still working on it and need to insert a video. I had a lot of fun doing this project.

What I Am Thankful For
I am thankful for many things in my life. It is hard to narrow it down to just a few things. Most importantly, I am thankful for God, who gave me all the blessings in my life. I am also thankful for my family and friends. They have shaped me into the person I am today. My health, and the health of my loved ones, is another thing I am thankful for. Finally, I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to go to school and receive a great education. Being thankful should not be something saved for Thanksgiving, it should be something that we are always thinking about.

Political Cartoon
I chose this political cartoon because it was one of the few that I actually understood. Even though I was hoping John McCain would win the election, I still think this cartoon portrays a pretty true thought. During this election, everyone was divided between Barack Obama and John McCain for President of the United States. However, we could all agree on one thing: It was time for President Bush to leave the presidency.I commented on Sophie Tarentino's blog.
